Psychology becomes to be psychology with the first laboratory for studying behavior in 1879, with Wundt, this man give the first step for psychology leaves being a branch of philosophy.

Although Wundt is not the most famous in the psychology, at least not for people that don´t know a lot about this discipline, no, that title takes it Sigmund Freud, although of course, exists a debate about this man and his theory, from which we will talk about later, for now, let's use the imagination, if I say psychology, what´s on your mind? probably a person in a sofa while speak about his life or his childhood, while that who heard take notes in a notebook, this image comes from the office of Freud, that was the way like he attended to his patients and this way he created his theory, the psychoanalysis, and of here comes one of the ironies of the psychology, then although is the image most characteristic of the psychology, the psychoanalysis is not the psychology, even for some people is not part of this, this discussion that became with the methodology that uses the psychoanalysis and how the results that they get it can't taste it, what contrast with the idea of psychology like a science.

Before I mentioned to Wundt and his first step for become psychology in what we know now, futhermore the method that he used become the father of experimental psychology.

Wundt observed. That was his way to make psychology, for him the introspection was fundamental to obtaining results, but what is introspection? Well, for wundt was "take experience" and "take" was "watch", for that reason, it is that wundt observed, that was his way to put in the paper the behavior.

Although his experimental method was only made with the control of variables, so he didn't leave the mouse in its environment and only saw how it find its food, no, he took the mouse and put it in an environment that he could manipulate, in a box or a close place free of day-a-day things, I speak about mouse because is the animal most used in psychology experiments, although there are monkeys like in the theory of emotional attachment, or even human children like the little Albert.

Although, of course, the behavior and especially the human behavior is so complicated that many phenoms can't be subjected to this type of observation.

Even so, wundt deserves a standing ovation and always will have the merit of starting with the experimental investigations, was other characters that help to set up the psychology inside the sciences as well, like Herman Ebbinghaus or Edward, no Cullen, Edward Titchener.
